Day 1

"All the monuments of the ancient Baku: a journey through time"

Baku People are sure that their city is the most beautiful city in a world. It is difficult to disagree with them. You will be convinced of this joining to our 4-day tour program. You are waiting for the colorful old streets of the Old City. We will visit places that make Baku a modern metropolis. We will take a funicular ride and look at the city from above, take unforgettable photos in the Upland Park, visit 3 giant skyscrapers (Flame Towers), admire the Palace of Happiness and the houses of other millionaires, and listen to amazing love stories for their wives (and not only )

Next, we will have a walk along the Baku Boulevard. This is a promenade constructed in Baku more than 100 years ago.

There is a Carpet Museum within walking distance. We will know about the carpet art in Azerbaijan. Then we will take a gondola ride in the little Venice but that is not all. You will meet with one of the most beautiful buildings not only in Baku, but also in the whole world - the Heydar Aliyev Center, where you will be immersed in the history, culture, and traditions of our people.

Day 2

"Apsheron is a national treasure"

We will visit the Ateshgah temple on Apsheron. The fire-worshipers (Zoroastrizm religion) started to settle here in the 17th century. After visiting of Ateshgah we will climb the defensive tower of the Middle Ages in the village of Mardakan, then we feel the sacred energy of the ancient sites in the village of Gala, and finally we will sit in a restaurant and try fish dishes of national Azerbaijani cuisine. I assure you have never tasted such yummy dishes!

Secrets of the old fortresses Gala and Mardakan

Just imagine that the ancient fortresses of 12-13 centuries survived to the present day. During the tour, I will tell you about the secrets hidden by the castles in Gala and Mardakan. Inside of the fortress, you understand how the people who remained in it managed to hold a siege for months.

A separate story is about a man who became the Guardian of the fortress in our time. Everyone who is interested in history and wants to feel breathe of centuries comes here. We will find out how people lived on Apsheron hundreds of years ago, see houses they built, learn what they ate and drank, touch crafts they owned, and understand how the new is blended with the old.

The garbage museum is another interesting Gala museum that you cannot pass by. There is a place with unusual, exciting spirit and strange art objects from waste.

Acquaintance with national life and art

Experienced artisans will help you to plunge completely into the ancient life of the inhabitants of Apsheron. You will try yourself in weaving, pottery or baking national bread in an oven using the ancient Azerbaijani recipe. You will get unforgettable impressions, unique photos, and take with you wonderful memories of this magical place where history is combined with modernity.

Fish feast

On the tour, you only teased your appetite, so it is time to dine!

We will have a lunch in one of the fishing villages. The great thing of this place is the dishes from Caspian fish with national spices.

The chef says he uses dozens of spices in the marinade and keeps this unique formula in a secret.

Day 3

"Shemakha, Lagich and Ivanovka - the land of winemakers and artisans"

We will be acquainted with ancient Muslim shrines and unique natural landscapes. First stop is the Diri Baba Mausoleum. Next, we will visit the famous city of Shemakha, the first capital of Azerbaijan, where we will see the oldest mosque in the Caucasus.

Cheeses, nature, and of course, wine!

We will begin acquaintance with the national wine at one of the most amazing wineries in Azerbaijan. You will have an excursion around the winery where you will see the production and storage of wine in one of the largest wine cellars in Azerbaijan, then a wine tasting with local cheese are beautiful species.

After Shemakha, we will go to the village-preserve, namely Lagich.

The road winds along a mountain serpentine. On one side of the serpentine, there are steep high rocks. The spectacle is magnificent, so you can stop and take some "cool" pictures.

Lagich is a city of artisans. There is a sound of tools of blacksmiths, gunsmiths, and coppersmiths from all sides. The streets of Lagich are homely and clean. You are waiting for warm talks with local residents. We will visit the house of one of them, where you will be definitely invited to try the local cuisine and tea. You will listen to stories about people who lived and worked here many centuries ago.

There is a guesthouse in the village where, if you wish, you can spend the night, and the next morning, having a breakfast from farm products, we will go on our trip along the paths of the Great Silk Road to Gabala and Sheki.

Day 4

The ancient cities of Azerbaijan, Gabala and Sheki

The city of Gabala, where we will go the next day of our trip, is about 2 thousand years old. It is surrounded by high mountains (about 5 thousand meters above sea level), on the slopes covered with dense forest.
