Day 1

“All the monuments of the ancient city of Baku: travel through time”

Baku People are sure that their city is the most beautiful city on a world. It is difficult to disagree with them. You will be convinced of this statement if you join to our 6-day tour program.

You are waiting for the colorful old streets of the Old City. We will visit places that make Baku a modern metropolis. We will take a funicular ride and look at the city from above, take unforgettable photos in the Upland Park, visit 3 giant skyscrapers (Flame Towers), admire the Palace of Happiness and the houses of other millionaires, and listen to amazing love stories for their wives (and not only )

You are waiting for the most colorful narrow and labyrinth streets of the Old City. Some of them were the location of several scenes from the famous Russian comedy “The Diamond Hand”. As Azerbaijan was the part of the Soviet Union within 70 years, this film is valuable for all the locals. You will learn the funny habits coming from the scenes of the mentioned film as well as we will tell you about the two Great Russian actors who were the main heroes of that film.

We will go to one of the local restaurants for relaxing. Here you will taste the dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine and the local drinks. We will visit places that changed the capital to a modern metropolis. We will have a funicular ride and look at the city from the Upland Park, the highest viewpoint of the city, see three giant skyscrapers nearby, and visit the Carpet Museum and the Palace of Happiness.

We will have a walk along the Baku Boulevard. This is a second promenade in the Europe in length, and one of the oldest boulevard in the East.

Day 2

“Gobustan, volcanoes and Apsheron - national treasures of the country”

You awaits for the Gobustan nature preserve. These unusual rocks are so valuable for the entire world that it is included in the UNESCO list. We absolutely can state that it is one of the wonders of the world.

We also will visit the second magic place of our country, namely Yanardag where you will see a fantastic sight: a flame burns directly from the earth and never and never goes out.

Day 3

“Shemakha, Lagich, and Ivanovka - the land of winemakers and artisans”

We will be acquainted with ancient Muslim shrines and unique natural landscapes. Firstly, we will stop is the Diri Baba Mausoleum. Next, we will visit the famous city of Shemakha, where we see the oldest mosque in the Caucasus.

Our next destination is the village-preserve Lagich

The road winds along a mountain serpentine. On one side of the serpentine, there are steep high rocks. The spectacle is magnificent, so you can stop and take some "cool" pictures.

Lagich is a city of artisans. There is a sound of tools of blacksmiths, gunsmiths, and coppersmiths from all sides. The streets of Lagich are homely and clean. You are waiting for warm talks with local residents. We will visit the house of one of them, where you will be definitely invited to try the local cuisine and tea. You will listen to stories about people who lived and worked here many centuries ago. On our way, we also will meet the Russian village of Ivanovka. It was founded in 1840, and its inhabitants were immigrants from Russia, supporting morality in the Orthodox religion.

All signs in the Russian village are written in Russian, including on the board of the building where the collective farm was located.

Day 4

"Gabala and Sheki - along the ancient paths of the Great Silk Road!"

The city of Gabala, where we will go the next day of our trip, is about 2 thousand years old. It is surrounded by high mountains (about 5 thousand meters above sea level), on the slopes covered with dense forest.

Here you will visit the cascade of beautiful waterfalls "Seven Beauties"

Along the fabulous forests of Gabala, we will go to the city of Sheki. This city was the center of the Sheki Khanate in the 17-18 centuries. I will show you the most interesting monuments: the palace of Sheki khans, Caravansarayes, a Christian Church in the village of Kysh. We are waiting for a delicious tasting of the Sheki piti dish and Sheki baklava, which is completely different from traditional baklava.

Day 5

“Ganja and Naftalan - medical oil and the homeland of Nizami!”

So, most of our travel is behind.

We are going to be acquainted with the delightful homeland of Nizami Ganjavi - the world famous poet of the East

From the first minutes, this journey will take you to the world of fairy tales and narratives, because we will hear the legend about the creation of the glorious Azerbaijani city of Ganja. The ensemble of Sheikh Bahauddin is the treasure and pride of the city. It includes three important components: Juma mosque, Cheyak-Hamam, Caravansaray. Each of these “elements” contains an unusual and important feature. Enjoying the beauty of the current Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky, you cannot even imagine where it was built! We also will see the beauty of one of the largest lakes in Azerbaijan - Geigel, and visit the city of Naftalan, famous for its healing oil, where we will have the opportunity to purchase miracles products from naphthalan.

Day 6

"Zakhatala - the land of lavender, roses, and chestnut"

On the 6th day, we will travel to the city of Zakhatala, in the translation "Valley of Saks". Those who come here for the first time immediately feel his spiritual aura. Local attractions such as the central square Platanova, the Christian Church, defensive towers, and an ancient fortress. All of them were witnesses of military battles and historical events that took place on the territory of Zakhatala for several centuries. In 1830, there was a garrison of Russian troops.

The land of Zakhatala is a valley of roses, lavender, and chestnut.

Here you will have the opportunity to purchase lavender and rose oil, as well as visit the factory for the manufacture of these oils. Then we will head to the city of Balaken. It is situated a little more than 10 km from the Georgian border. We will stop at the original cafe "Lezzet", which is arranged in a "nest" on a tree in a real wild forest! The outskirts of the city are wonderful scenery for a photo. Here our program ends. It is easily enter to Georgia, Tbilisi from here. If you wish, you will continue your trip to Georgia.
